What’s next for Southsea Beach Cafe?
We’re heading West! Work is now well underway on our second Southsea Beach Café venue on Clarence Esplanade, set to open in May 2026 at the former Beach Club site.
The space is currently being completely renovated and we can’t wait to welcome you in. While the setting will be new, everything you love about Southsea Beach Café will remain the same – our friendly team, dog-friendly atmosphere and carefully curated food and drink – just with more space, more views and even more to enjoy.
The new café will offer significantly more indoor and outdoor seating, stunning panoramic views across the Solent and room for more of the events you’ve come to love, including regular jazz and R&B nights.
We’re also excited to welcome Southsea’s swimmers using the new and improved beach, with free shower facilities by the newly improved beach, and we’re planning to introduce our outdoor wood-fired sauna there in the future too.
For a while, both cafés will be open, so you’ll still be able to visit us here at Eastney while we get everything ready at the new site. Later in the year, this location will close due to the sea defence works – but this move marks a really exciting next chapter for us.
When the seafront reopens in April, we’ll also be serving takeaway coffees from the new venue while we prepare for the full opening.
