On Thursday 23rd of August the Southsea Beach Cafe is holding a charity fundraising event in support of Adam Long, to help him raise the vital funds he needs to pay for a specialist treatment not available on the NHS.
At the age of 23 Adam was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer that had spread from his pancreas to his liver, lungs and peritoneum. Now at 26 he’s hit a bump in the road. After trying five different types of chemo, following two major operations and radiotherapy, Adam’s been told his last hope rests on funding his own immunotherapy treatment, which is very expensive.
We met Adam when he and his now wife booked the SBC for their wedding reception and were inspired by his positivity and drive. We want to help him in this journey to reaching his goal of raising £100,000.
This is an event not to be missed!
For just £20 a ticket (available to purchase from the cafe) you can enjoy The Southsea Alternative Choir and a burger and fries, or a halloumi burger and fries, with all profits going to Adam’s fundraising target.
The bar will be stocked with booze donated by our amazing suppliers ensuring that all money spent at the bar also goes towards Adams cause.
If you are unable to make the event please dig deep and make a donation on Adams GoFundMe page.
